You can import the <strong>&#8220;Client Number&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;Email&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;Business Name&#8221;<\/strong>,<strong> &#8220;First Name&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;Last Name&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;Telephone&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;Street Address 1&#8221;<\/strong>,<strong> &#8220;Street Address 2&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;City&#8221;, &#8220;State&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;Postal Code&#8221;<\/strong> and <strong>&#8220;Country&#8221;<\/strong>. The<strong>&#8221; Business Name&#8221;<\/strong> field is mandatory and you can choose to add or not to add any of the other fields. The <strong>&#8220;Email&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;Client Number&#8221;<\/strong> and<strong> &#8220;Business Name&#8221;<\/strong> fields must be unique however you can&#8217;t add the same email into two or more fields.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>To start importing a list of clients please follow these following steps:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Notes<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Only CSV files \/ Text files (Comma Separated, Tab Delimited, Column separated can be imported).<\/li>\n<li>If you have any other file type you can open such file using an intermediate application, such as <strong>&#8220;Microsoft Excel&#8221;<\/strong> and save as CSV and import into the system.<\/li>\n<li>You can use the import feature to quickly add your data in a spreadsheet and import it into the system, And here we explain to you how to import the data using Microsoft Excel Application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Step 1: (Create CSV File)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>First of all, you need to create your importing file by using Excel program as the below figures<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/client-excel-image.png\" rel=\"lightbox[1514]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"man-img wp-image-1474 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/client-excel-image.png\" <strong>&#8220;Business Name&#8221;<\/strong> is a mandatory field that must be filled out so you can add the column of the <strong>&#8220;Business Name&#8221;<\/strong> however concerning all the extra fields like <strong>&#8220;Email&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;First Name&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;Last Name&#8221;<\/strong> etc. all of these extra fields are optional.<\/li>\n<li>At the first row add the fields you want to import (for example:) <strong>&#8220;Client Number&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;Email&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;Business Name&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;First Name&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;Last Name&#8221;<\/strong>,<strong> &#8220;Telephone Number&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;Street Address 1&#8221;<\/strong> and <strong>&#8220;Country&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>While adding a <strong>&#8220;Country&#8221;<\/strong> you can add the shortcode for the country or the full name.<\/li>\n<li>After you have added all your items save the Excel file as CSV (Comma delimited).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a <strong>&#8220;Clients&#8221;<\/strong> tab, select the <strong>&#8220;Manage Clients&#8221;<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>&#8220;Import&#8221;<\/strong> button at the top right corner to start the importing process.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2 Import Options:<\/strong><br \/>\n<a that will be imported (the CSV file we previously saved).<\/li>\n<li>Through the <strong>&#8220;Delimiters&#8221;<\/strong> drop-down menu, select the <strong>&#8220;Comma Separated&#8221; <\/strong>option.<\/li>\n<li>Tick the <strong>&#8220;Import First Row&#8221;<\/strong> checkbox if your file contains the same existing labeled column at the first row, if your file doesn&#8217;t contain the same content,\u00a0 then we will not tick the checkbox.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3: (Fields Mapping)<a href=\"http:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Import-client-step-2.png\" rel=\"lightbox[1514]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"man-img aligncenter wp-image-2161 will map the fields (Columns) of the imported file to the corresponding fields on the system.<br \/>\nThe <strong>&#8220;System Field&#8221;<\/strong> column:\u00a0 This column shows which fields on the system you can import the data into.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<ol>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Chain icon&#8221;<\/strong>: means that this field is unique (i.e. if you have ticked the <strong>&#8220;Update an existing client with the new data<\/strong><strong>&#8220;<\/strong> check box and there was a record that contains the same value already then it will update this record with the newly imported record. If you haven\u2019t ticked the <strong>&#8220;Update an existing client with the new data&#8221;<\/strong> check box and there was an existing record containing the same data, It will disregard importing it and will be showing you errors for this specific record.).<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Corresponding Field<\/strong><strong>&#8220;<\/strong>: Each drop-down menu in this column refers to the column headers related to importing your file; please select the equivalent column in your file for each system column (only system fields with <strong>&#8220;<\/strong><strong>*&#8221;<\/strong> are required to have an equivalent selected field).In this case, we can only add the new clients and select a corresponding field on the file for each system field as showing in the above figures and then untick the <strong>&#8220;<\/strong><strong>Update an existing client with the new data&#8221;<\/strong> checkbox as we are adding the new data only.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, click the <strong>&#8220;<\/strong><strong>Import&#8221;<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4: (Importing)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Import-client-step-3.png\" rel=\"lightbox[1514]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"man-img aligncenter wp-image-1478 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Import-client-step-3.png\" alt=\"Import-client-step-3\" width=\"934\" height=\"335\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Import-client-step-3.png 934w, https:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Import-client-step-3-300x108.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 934px) 100vw, 934px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The system will take a few seconds to import the fields and save them.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Then refer back to the <strong>&#8220;Manage Clients&#8221;<\/strong> page to check the imported clients.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You can add a numerous number of clients with a few steps without having to enter every client manually to the system by using the import feature.
