You can import the <strong>&#8220;Product Code&#8221;,&#8221;Bar Code&#8221;,&#8221;Name&#8221;, &#8220;Description&#8221;, &#8220;Unit Price&#8221;, &#8220;Buy Price&#8221;, &#8220;Default Quantity&#8221;, &#8220;Category&#8221; <\/strong>and<strong> &#8220;Brand&#8221;<\/strong> fields.<\/p>\n<h3>To start importing\u00a0 any lists of products you will have to do the following steps:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Notes<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Only CSV files \/ Text files (Comma Separated, Tab Delimited, Column separated can be imported).<\/li>\n<li>If you have any other file type you can access it using an intermediate application, such as <strong>&#8220;Microsoft Excel&#8221;<\/strong> and save it as <strong>&#8220;CSV&#8221;<\/strong> and then import it into the system.<\/li>\n<li>You can use the import feature to quickly add your data in a spreadsheet and import it into the system, And here we explain how to import the data using Microsoft Excel software.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the Excel program<\/li>\n<li>At the beginning of the first row add the fields <strong>&#8220;Product Code&#8221; ,&#8221;Bar Code&#8221; ,&#8221;Name&#8221;, &#8220;Description&#8221;, &#8220;Unit Price&#8221;, &#8220;Buy Price&#8221;, &#8220;Default Quantity&#8221;, &#8220;Category&#8221;, &#8220;Brand&#8221;<\/strong> in the A1, B1, C1, D1, E1, F1, G1, H1 and I1 fields in the same ascending horizontal order.<\/li>\n<li>Beneath every field fill out all the products details as showing in the following figure <a href=\"http:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/excel-image.png\" rel=\"lightbox[1512]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"man-img aligncenter wp-image-1465\" src=\"http:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/excel-image.png\" alt=\"excel-image\" width=\"865\" height=\"463\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>After you finish adding all your items save the Excel file as <strong>CSV (&#8221;Comma delimited&#8221;)<\/strong>.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/save-as-csv.png\" rel=\"lightbox[1512]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"man-img aligncenter wp-image-1526 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/save-as-csv.png\" alt=\"save as csv\" width=\"705\" height=\"609\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/save-as-csv.png 705w, https:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/save-as-csv-300x259.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 705px) 100vw, 705px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Log in to your online invoices account.<\/li>\n<li>Through the <strong>&#8220;Products&#8221;<\/strong> tab select the <strong>&#8220;Manage Products&#8221;<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>&#8220;Import&#8221;<\/strong> button at the top right corner on the left-hand side of the <strong>&#8220;New Product&#8221;<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<li>The importing wizard will start<a href=\"http:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/import-buton.png\" rel=\"lightbox[1512]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"man-img aligncenter wp-image-1467 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/import-buton.png\" alt=\"import-buton\" width=\"1070\" height=\"186\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/import-buton.png 1070w, https:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/import-buton-300x52.png 300w, https:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/import-buton-1024x178.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1070px) 100vw, 1070px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Step 1 Import Options:\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Import-step-1.png\" rel=\"lightbox[1512]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"man-img aligncenter wp-image-1468 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Import-step-1.png\" alt=\"Import-step-1\" width=\"797\" height=\"511\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Import-step-1.png 797w, https:\/\/www.onlineinvoices.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Import-step-1-300x192.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 797px) 100vw, 797px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Determine the file that will be imported (the CSV file we previously saved) by clicking on the <strong>&#8220;Browse&#8221;<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<li>Through the Delimiters section, select the <strong>&#8220;<\/strong><strong>Comma Separated&#8221;<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>&#8220;<\/strong><strong>Import First Row&#8221;<\/strong> check box. If you didn\u2019t check the <strong>&#8220;<\/strong><strong>Updated an existing product with the new data&#8221;<\/strong> check box and there was a record with the same existing data then it will ignore importing it and will be showing you errors regarding this record.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>&#8220;<\/strong><strong>Corresponding Field on File&#8221;<\/strong> column: Each drop-down menu on this column shows all the column headers on your file.
